Kuwait Requirements for MBL Preparation prompts others…
7 December 2015
When SME, the GFG’s member in Kuwait, advised members about their MBL preparation requirements, it prompted PT Indo Prostime, the GFG’s member in Indonesia and ATS, the Angolan member, to confirm that their countries also have the same requirements.
All members, please take note.
Super Middle East Freight, advised the following:
Dear Fellow GFG members, CC: Ms. Rachel GFG administrator.
Greetings from Kuwait.
Hereby we wish to inform all members that in Kuwait we are not allowed to endorse the delivery order issued by carrier’s agent here to actual consignee, when and if the MBL is sent in our as freight forwarder.
We therefore have to request all members who are sending Sea Freight shipments destined to Kuwait, to send the shipment consigned to actual consignee on MBL- Master Carrier’s Ocean B/L and to show our company as notify party and while providing express release request to carrier to make it if favor of notify party.
As per this regulations in Kuwait we cannot accept any shipment sent to Kuwait showing consignee name as “ Super Middle East Freight & Logistics Co. W.L.L.” on MBL. All sea freight shipment my come here consigned directly in favor actual consignee, which is shown on consignee’s commercial invoice and we must be shown as notify party accordingly the express release request to carrier has to be in favor on notify party. Kindly make note of this very important MUST to follow instructions and inform all concerned in your organizations to follow them precisely.
Thanking you all in advance for your kind understanding and cooperation on this matter.
With Best wishes & regards,
